RESEARCH SKILL
1968-1982
Investigation on chemical reaction engineering and unit operations on the
basis of experimental work by using lab and pilot scale apparatuses.
Modelling of equipment at pilot and industrial scale to accomplish catalytic
fixed bed and gas-liquid chemical reactions and to separate liquid mixture by
distillation operation.
1982-
Research work on Industrial Crystallization from liquid solution and from
melt. The experimental investigation and modelling concerned a number of
subjects as crystallizer design, unit operation optimization, kinetics
measurements and process development. Most of the research projects were
performed in collaboration with industrial companies and in several cases
they concerned the improvement of the industrial operations. 4 projects were
funded by European Commission; two of them are in progress.
