groups and fly in V-formation from their roosts to their feeding grounds.

I think scarlet ibis was a symbol in the story because it talks about life
and how he lived it, and his brother don't know how to walk, so his
brother is trying to make him learn to walk like the ibis, and he did but at
the end they saw a ibis outside
there house that died under the tree and they went to bury it but a
lighting strike his little brother and he died.
