Since 1993, administrator for three Student Services areas: Student Health Services, Psychological Services, and Disabled Student Programs & Services. Plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate services and activities of these areas. Prepare budgets and oversee expenditures of funds in accordance with institutional and funding agencies’ policies and procedures. Supervise eight faculty, ten classified staff, and sixty part-time staff. Provide consultation to faculty, staff, and administration on matters of student health, psychological issues, and services to students with disabilities. Provide leadership in the development of alternative methods of delivering needed services to a diverse student population. Founding member of the California Community Colleges Psychological Services Consortium which promotes the development and enhancement of psychological services for community college students. Counseling Psychologist. From 1984 to 1993, specialized in solution-focused psychotherapy to college students and consultation to administration, faculty, and staff. Coordinated well-established predoctoral psychology internship program. Directed staff development activities for counseling psychology staff, provided in-service training to various college departments, published materials on student success, served on advisory and college-wide committees, and participated in recruitment and selection of faculty and staff. Students served reflected diversity of ethnic group identifications, levels of acculturation, and socioeconomic backgrounds. Adjunct Faculty in Psychology. Since 1987, annually teach six courses in introductory, social, and developmental psychology for the Division of Social Sciences and one course in applied psychology for dental assistants for the Division of Health Sciences.
