Stallions with IPS COUNCIL APPROVEL are allowed to complete in
Working Hunter Classes Only
Qualifiers
CLASS 1: Newcomer Working Hunter Class for ponies not exceeding 153 cms. Suitable
for and to be ridden by riders under 16 years of age on Jan 1st 2015. Height of fence is
max 50 cm.
CLASS 2: Novice Novice Working Hunter for mares or geldings 4 yrs and over.
Exceeding 143 cms but not exceeding 153 cms for riders who have attained their 20th

birthday on Jan 1 2015.
CLASS 3: Novice Working Hunter for mares or geldings 4 yrs and over. Exceeding

133cms but not exceeding 143cms for riders under 17 on Jan 1 2015.

CLASS 13: Horse Class, for mares or geldings 4 years and older. Riders must be over 18
years of age on the 1st of January 2015 (proof of age may be required). Height of horse
should be over 153 cms (15 hands).
CLASS 14: Riding Class for Ponies, mares or geldings, four yrs old and over, exceeding
138cms (13.2hh) but not exceeding 148cms (14.2hh). Suitable for and to be ridden by

CLASS 17: Championship; confined to 1 and 2 Prize winners in Classes 14,15 &16.
CLASS 18: Ridden pony class 14.2 hands (148 cms) and under, confined to Kerry
riders, riders that have completed in any other class are not eligible to compete in this
class.
CLASS 19: Leading Rein Class for ponies, mares or geldings, four yrs and over not
exceeding 123cms. Suitable for and to be ridden by children, who have not attained

their 7th birthday on Jan 1 2015 Children riding in this class are not eligible to ride in
any other ridden class. Ponies must be shown in Snaffle Bridles. They must be led on a
loose rein and will be required to trot.
CLASS 20: Open First Ridden Riding Class for Ponies, mares or geldings, four yrs old
and over, not exceeding 123cms. Suitable for and to be ridden by riders who have not

CLASS 27: Mountain & Mooreland Ponies. Ridden Class, must be registered with
their respective breed society stud book to compete. 4years old and over.Including
stallions with council approval.
CLASS 28: Mountain & Mooreland Championship confined to 1st & 2nd prize winners
in Classes 11 & 26.
CLASS 29: Open & Novice intermediate show hunter class for mares, gelding 4years
old and over exceeding 148cms not exceeding 158cms suitable for and to be ridden by
rider who have not obtained their 25th birthday on the 1st Jan 2015.
CLASS 30: Intermediate Championship confined to 1st & 2nd prize winners in classes 6
& 29.
CLASS 31: Best turned out gigs / Tubs / Traps – Adults only. Animals can not be led.

CLASS 32: Brood Mare not exceeding 148cms certified in foal (vet scanning cert to be
produced on entry), or foal at foot.
CLASS 33: Led Foal, colt or filly.
CLASS 34: 1 year old Show pony Filly, Colt or Gelding not exceeding 140cms.
CLASS 35: 2 & 3 Year old Show pony Mare, Filly, Colt or Gelding not exceeding
145cms.
CLASS 36: Hunter Pony Young Stock 1 year old Colts Fillies or Geldings.
CLASS 37: Hunter Pony Young Stock 2 year old Colts Fillies or Geldings & 3year old
Fillies or Geldings.
CLASS 38: Yearling Colt, Gelding or Fillies confined to pure breed Connemara. Must
be registered with Connemara Society and stud book to be produced on entry.
CLASS 39: Pure Bred Connemara Colt, Gelding or Fillies. 2 year old Colt, Gelding or
Fillies.3 year old Gelding or Fillies. Must be registered with Connemara Society and
stud book to be produced on entry.
CLASS 40: Young Stock Championship confined to 1st prize winners classes 34, 35, 36,
37, 38 & 39.
CLASS 41: Pure Breed Connemara Brood Mare with Foal at foot and not exceeding
148cms. The sire or foal to be named.
CLASS 42: Pure Breed Connemara Foal Colts Fillies progeny of mares in class 41 sire
or foal to be named.
CLASS 43: Broodmare Championship classes 32 & 41.
CLASS 44: Foal Championship classes 33 & 42.
CLASS 45: Lead Rein for Children 16 years old and under with a physical disability or
a learning intellectual disability. This class will start at 2pm sharp.
CLASS 46: Pure Breed Welsh Mare Colt, Gelding or Fillies (excluding Stallions 3yrs or
over). Registered with Welsh Pony & Cob Society and studbook to be produced on
entry.
CLASS 47: Part Bred Welsh Mare Colt, Gelding or Fillies (excluding Stallions 3 years or
over). Registered with Welsh Pony & Cob Society and studbook to be produced on
entry.

CLASS 48: Welsh Championship Confined to 1 and 2 Prize winners in Classes 46 &
47.
CLASS 49: Coloured Class Mare or Gelding not exceeding 148cms to be lead
(excluding Stallions 3yrs or over).
CLASS 50: Pure and Part Bred Arab mare gelding any age Colts 2 years and under, 148
cms and under (excluding Stallions 3yrs or over). Arab Society studbook to be
produced on entry.

CLASS 51: Kerry Bog Pony Mare or Gelding. Must be registered with Bog Pony Society
and stud book to be produced on entry. Two mares to qualify for the Inaugural
National Kerry Bog Pony Mare Championship.
CLASS 52: Championship for Classes 49, 50 & 51.
CLASS 53: Donkey Mare or Gelding.
CLASS 54: Supreme Champion. Confined to champion & reserves in classes
5, 10, 17, 21, 25, 30, 40, 43, 48 & 52.

Rules & Conditions:
•Judging commences at 3pm sharp.
•Large and small breed dog qualifiers progress to Puppy Parlour Munster Dog
Championship.
•All dogs must be led and remain on lead in the show grounds.
•Each dog can only enter into a maximum of 3 classes.
•A puppy class – confined to dogs over 3 months and under 1 year old.
•All classes – confined to dogs over 6 months.
