General Information
The PDSSSC is running a Girls Basketball Gala Day in 2015.

The attached entry form is to be completed, signed and returned by Friday 20 th
February to Chris Anschau – details below. No late entries can be accepted.
 The event is to be conducted in 3 divisions for both boys and girls:-
Year 7/8, Year 9/10 and Year 11/12
NB – Players can only enter one division on the day for this event.
 Players are to arrive between 8.40am and 8.45am with first matches commencing at
9.00am sharp.

The first part of the tournament will be played in pools with a round robin format, with semi-finals and/or finals concluding the day.
 The finals in each division should be played by 1.25pm.
 Canteen facilities will be available on the day.
 Please ensure you have adequate drink and food for the day.

All schools should try to provide 1 qualified non-playing referee for the duration of the pool games.
 Referees will be paid.
 All teams will be charged $100 for each team entered. $200 per team if you do not provide a referee.
 All matches will be 10 minutes each way, with 2 minutes half time.
 All games will start and stop at the same time.

One 30 second time out is allowed each half. No time out is allowed in the last 5 minutes of the match. Time does not stop for time outs.

If games are tied at fulltime, a draw is awarded and all points will count for and against to decide final pool placings.
 If 2 teams finish equal at the end of the round robin, the following will be used to decide final placings :- a) For points minus against points. b) If still equal, whoever won the match between the 2 teams. c) If not possible, the team with the highest points for. d) If still equal, the team with the least against points. e) If still equal, a toss of a coin will split the teams.
