Release and Waiver of Liability for Carriage Rides
(including Assumption of all Risks of Bodily Injury)
Whereas, Wild Iris Farm LLC, doing business at 2 Lakewood Farm Road, Bar Harbor, ME 04609,
hereinafter called Owner, is in the business of offering carriage rides to the general public in Bar Harbor,
ME and surrounding towns in a 50 mile radius including Acadia National Park.
Whereas, the undersigned Customer desires to go on a carriage ride on_____________________,
20__ (date), and
Whereas, Customer acknowledges that Owner has no duty to insure or guarantee the Customer will
not have an accident resulting in serious injury or death during said carriage ride and Owner does not and
will not give such an assurance or guarantee;
Now, therefore, for an in consideration of being allowed to go on said carriage ride, the
undersigned Customer hereby releases Owner, Owner’s employees, officers, directors, successors, and
collectively releases Wild Iris Farm from all liability to Customer for any loss or damage to property,
physical injury or death whether caused by Releasees or otherwise, that result, directly or indirectly from
Customer’s carriage ride. Customer further agrees to indemnify, save and hold Releasees harmless from any
loss, liability, attorneys’ fees, damage, or costs that they (or any of them) may incur arising out of or related
to Customer’s carriage ride, whether caused by the negligence of the Releasees or otherwise, and the
Customer does hereby assume that the risk of any such loss or damage. The undersigned further
covenants and represents that I/we have read this document; and that I/we voluntarily signed this
Release, Waiver of Liability and Assumption of Risk.
This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the state of Maine and the Parties agree that
any legal action relating to or arising out of this Agreement shall be brought exclusively in binding
arbitration in Bar Harbor, Maine and be subject to the Rules of the American Arbitration Association.

Agreement and Consent of Parent or Guardian of Minor:
I, as parent or guardian of the above Customer, represent to the Releasees that the facts in this
document concerning my child (children) or ward listed above are true. I give my permission for my child
(children) or ward to participate in said carriage ride, and further, inconsideration of allowing my child
(children) or ward to participate in said carriage ride, I agree individually on behalf of my child (children) or
ward, to the terms of the above Release, Waiver of Liability and Assumption of Risk.
