National Aquatic Centre Membership Terms and Conditions
1. There are different types of membership available at the National Aquatic Centre.
A) Full and Off Peak membership: Entitles you to use all the facilities of the National Aquatic Centre. These facilities are:
• Gymnasium (ToneZone)
• Leisure Pool (AquaZone)
• International Competition Pool
• Health Suite
B) Swim Only membership: Allows use of the Leisure Pool and Competition pools only when available for public use.
(This membership excludes use of the Health Suite and the Members Dressing Rooms).
Off Peak membership: Allows use of the full facilities between 6am to 4pm Monday to Fridays and 8am to 12pm Saturday
to Sunday.
2. A small fee for some Fitness Classes may be charged to full members. For our Swim & Diving Academy, members will
receive a discount. For further information on discounts and charges ask our in our Sales office.
3. The Management reserves the right to utilise the facilities for special events, competitions or other activities which it may
deem desirable. We also reserve the right to close all or any of the facilities for essential maintenance and major events
should the need arise. Please refer to our web site www.nac.ie for “Event” details.
4. The management reserves the right to terminate any membership with immediate effect if the member is not adhering to
all the rules and regulations of the centre. No refund will be given.
5. No refunds are given for any reason on fully paid up memberships.
We do however concur to the National Consumer Agency’s “7 Day Cooling Off” period. Requests within this period must be
made and submitted in writing. Any requests outside of 7 days will not be accepted. Back dated requests will not be
accepted.
6. All Direct Debit memberships are for a minimum of 12 months. Unpaid Direct Debits will be pursued.
7. Direct debit payments will automatically roll over after a 12 month period unless the member notifies us in writing. If you
wish to cancel your membership, 30 days notice in writing is required. Unpaid Direct Debits will be pursued.
8. A freeze facility is available on memberships for a minimum of 1 month and a maximum of 3 months. To avail of this
facility, a letter must be written to the membership office 30 days prior to the event. Back dated requests will not be
accepted.
9. Membership cards need to be presented at reception on each and every visit to gain access. Transferring of membership
cards is strictly forbidden and will result in immediate expulsion from the centre and the cancellation of membership without
refund.
10. Swim hats are compulsory in all pools for all users.
11. Members are reminded that children under the age of 8 must be constantly supervised by a responsible adult while
using the facilities. Only two children under 8 years of age are permitted entry with one adult.
12. For full members a general fitness induction is advised before using ToneZone gym, this can be booked at the gym
reception. Any member in doubt of their general health should seek advice from their doctor before beginning a fitness
programme.
13. Student, senior and corporate members will need to produce ID of their status in order to qualify for a reduced rate in
membership. This information will then be recorded on their file
14. The National Aquatic Centre is not responsible for the loss or damage of any personal items in our dressing rooms, on
our premises or in our car parks, however this may be caused.
15. No cameras or mobile phones, which possess photographic functions, are to be used in the Centre at any time.
Permission must be agreed in advance by management for any other photographic equipment to be used in the Centre.
16. An administration charge will apply for replacing lost membership cards.
17. Management can temporarily restrict entry to all areas where they deem it necessary for safety reasons.
18. Towels must be used at all times in the Health and Fitness Centre for hygiene reasons.
19. The 1 metre depth pools can not always be guaranteed if Swim Academies or Galas are taking place.
20. Anyone under the age of 16 years can not use the Health Suite (Sauna, Steam room or Jacuzzi)
21. Junior Members (Age 16 & 17) cannot use ToneZone outside of the designated hours of 4pm to 6pm on Monday to
Fridays and 12pm to 4pm Saturday to Sunday. This may change during the summer months. Full notice will be given of
these changes in advance
22. The National Aquatic Centre reserves the right to re-programme our facilities or change opening hours from time to time.

23. The National Aquatic Centre reserves the right to alter and amend any of these terms and conditions without prior
notice.
24. All complaints must be in writing. This policy ensures a paper trail and transparency for both parties. Non written
complaints will not be entertained. This policy will not be wavered from.
