Rema Devi against Dr. Praveen Kulshreshtha of Guru Harkrishan Hospital The Delhi Medical Council examined a complaint of Smt. Rema Devi r/o. 935, Sun Light Colony, Hari Nagar Ashram, New Delhi, forwarded by Directorate of Health Services, alleging medical negligence on the part of Dr. Praveen Kulshreshtha of Guru Harkrishan Hospital, Gurdwara Bala Sahib Complex, Ring Road, New Delhi, in the treatment administered to complainant’s husband Shri Lallan Singh Yadav at Guru Harkrishan Hospital. On perusal of complaint, reply of Dr. Praveen Kulshreshtha and case papers / medical records of Guru Harkrishan Hospital, as supplied by Directorate of Health Services, it is observed that there are no clear cut allegations in the complaint and the complaint is not supported by the case papers/medical records. Prima facie no case of medical negligence is made out against Dr. Praveen Kulshreshta of Guru Harkrishan Hospital. It is, however, observed that the maintenance of case papers / medical records by Guru Harkrishan Hospital leaves much to be desired. The Hospital authorities are directed to ensure better record maintaining systems are put in place. Complaint stands disposed. (Dr. S.K.
