Hand a copy of policy to everyone on the team to read through
Outline reasons for the policy and benefits to Redbridge Lakes. For example:
o Should help the team to identify and focus on potential cost savings and
efficiency gains (eg. reducing waste to landfill, site consumables etc)
o Commitment to demonstrable environmental management is helpful to
enhance customer/public/community/borough relations
o Any future tenders for grants may require Environmental Policy
Explain the continuous improvement focus (a requirement if you ever went down
the ISO 14001 track)
Make it clear that you welcome any suggestions in terms of how things can be
done differently
Load Policy Statement onto website
Contact the Borough’s Environmental section and forward them a copy of your
policy and bio-diversity plan to demonstrate how your approach is consistent with
their Environmental Strategy and the Redbridge Bio-Diversity Plan
