As many of you are already aware, we have been forced to halt construction on the new group home project due to a lack of
funding. Recently, we were the recipients of donations from the Beth and Wilbur Woo Family Foundation as well as from the
Ahmanson Foundation. These generous donations push us closer to our goal of completing the group home construction
project but we still need your help!
Please consider making a Monetary Pledge or Donation today. No amount is too small, EVERY DOLLAR COUNTS!! We
are also in the process of launching an on-line donation site...as soon as details become available we will notify you. But
on-line donations can still be made via our website here. Again, thank you.

Shakey’s Pizza fundraiser is scheduled for Tuesday, August 20th, from 5pm-8pm at 2234 W. Valley Blvd., Alhambra, dine
in or take out remember to show attached flyer at time of purchase & drop receipt in the box at the register and MERCI will
receive 25% of your purchase (beverages not included).
If you have any suggestions for fundraisers please call the office. All ideas are welcome.
We continue to receive rewards from the Ralph’s supermarket Community Contribution Program. If you would like to sign
up please let us know so we can send you a flyer to link your Ralph’s rewards card, the cashier will assist you by scanning
the flyer’s scanbar. You can also sign up online by designating MERCI to receive the rewards simply inputting our
NPO#93243 and we will reap the benefits.
MERCI has joined forces with Cars 4 Causes. Cars 4 Causes accepts all cars, trucks, motorcycles, and rv’s (just about any
type of vehicle) in any condition, running or not. Car donations are tax deductible and MERCI benefits from your donation.

We continue to collect UPCs and beverage caps from participating products to earn points that can be redeemed for FREE
educational merchandise! You can turn in your UPCs and beverage caps into MERCI’s office. Some of the participating
products are Campbell’s, Goldfish, V8, Wolfgang Puck, Spaghettio’s, Swanson’s, Pepperidge Farms, Franco- American,
Prego, Pebbles cereal, Honey Bunches of Oats, Pop Secret popcorn, and BIC just to name a few. To see a complete list of

We have a Planet Aid bin at our Chandler site, we will receive one cent per pound of clothing and shoe donations. Please
help us raise funds by donating your items.
