An unraced daughter of Yeagar’s Lady JA is probably the best known today. She was FL Lady Bug (foaled in 1945) she produced a
whole line of runners. Her sire was SERGEANT, who was a full brother to Yeagar’s Lady JA’s sire Will Stead. FL Lady Bug was double
bred BILLY McCue and also double bred Chickasha Bob. The line breeding set the type to run. FL LADY BUG was used as a ranch
horse in her youth no one thought to race her. Line of barrel horses came off her through Bugs Alive in 75 breedings.

An unraced daughter of Yeagar’s Lady JA is probably the best known today. She was FL Lady Bug (foaled in 1945) she produced a
whole line of runners. Her sire was SERGEANT, who was a full brother to Yeagar’s Lady JA’s sire Will Stead. FL Lady Bug was double
bred BILLY McCue and also double bred Chickasha Bob. The line breeding set the type to run. FL LADY BUG was used as a ranch
horse in her youth. No one thought to race her. This mare’s line produced a long line of barrel, futurity winners; dominated the arena and

A ledgendary Quarter Horse and sire. 14.2hh, a fine cowhorse with a wonderful disposition, and a track record setter. Very fast horse,
losing only two matched races from 22 starts. Bud Warren said Leo “didn’t know when to say quite.” Became one of the all-time great
sires and broodmare sires. His sons and daughters excelled on the track and in the show ring. Best remembered as a broodmare sire,
however. There’s a long list of his daughters who became outstanding producers. They produced seven Supreme Champions (including
Milk River X Custus Rastus, Fairbars X Three Bars, Sugar Rocket X Rocket Bar, Kid Meyers X Three Bars. Died in 1967 at age 27.

Top Moon was bred like the great Jet Deck: both were 1960 sons of Moon Deck and out of Barred daughters. That must have been a
potent combination. Top moon produced two All-American Futurity winners: Bugs Alive In 75, and Moon Lark. There was almost a
third, when Lady Bug’s Moon finished second to Three Oh’s in 1968. With a speed index of 100, Top Moon did all right for himself. He
won at distances of 350 to 440 yards, and equaled a track record at 400 yards. This horse produced over 1,800 foals from twenty (20)
breeding seasons, a number that ranks him as one of the top AQHA producing stallions. He had over 800 race ROM earners, 19
Performance ROM earners, and four (4) race world champions. Statistics show that Top Moon influenced barrel racing most through
his sons Lady Bug’s Moon and Bugs Alive In 75. Other major contributors included Bugged Moon, full brother to Bugs Alive In 75, and
Moon Lark, and Joe Tee.
