Dear Parent/Carer
Your son/daughter is classified as an ‘out-of-zone’ pupil here at Inverurie
Academy. It is important, as part of our adverse weather procedures, that we
know exact travel arrangements for all pupils who are ‘out-of’zone’. I am
therefore writing to ask you to complete the attached form to provide us with
details of your son’s/daughter’s transport arrangements to and from school,
for both everyday travel and in case of emergency school closure.
In an emergency closure out-of-zone pupils are called to an assembly point
where they must stay until we are sure that their personal arrangements are in
place. It is vital for us to keep track of everyone involved evacuating the
school on such occasions, and so your son/daughter will be told that they
must sign out before leaving the school. We would be very grateful if you
could remind them about this too, and perhaps check that they have done so
if you are the person picking them up.
Thank you for your assistance in providing the detailed information we need to
ensure the safety of your son/daughter in case of an emergency school
closure. Should you have any questions about this process, please do not
hesitate to contact either your son’s/daughter’s Guidance teacher, or Mrs
Morrell, the Support Service Co-ordinator, here at the Academy.

return it to the school office by Friday 15 November.
