The Company: Waterford Area Partnership Ltd, covering the Waterford City area, has the responsibility for the implementation of the integrated strategy to promote social inclusion and to counter disadvantage through co-operation between communities, social partners, state agencies and elected representatives as agreed under the NDP for 2007-2013. Waterford Area Partnership Ltd will manage the Warmer Homes scheme which is funded by the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland for people who live in persistent fuel poverty in the Waterford area. The project will involve the installation of cavity wall and attic insulation, other energy saving measures and advice to clients on saving energy in their homes. Waterford Area Partnership Ltd wish to appoint the following two positions for the FAS funded Community Employment Scheme: WARMER HOMES SCHEME SUPERVISOR The successful person will be involved in the initial start-up of the project and will co-ordinate the delivery of training to 15 participants. The Supervisor reporting to the CEO of Waterford Area Partnership will engage in activities in the following areas: To assist in the recruitment of staff for the project & supervise and support staff when recruited Financial & Stock control of the project To ensure that all staff have or obtain the required training to work in a safe manner and to deliver work to a high standard Monitor the output and quality of work Provide information for reports required by stakeholders e.g. FAS, WAP & SEI Experience in a Managerial/Supervisory role in the construction industry with a minimum of three years previous experience is desirable. Salary Scale for Supervisor is €33,259 - €40,170. WARMER HOMES SCHEME SURVEYOR The successful person will have a good knowledge of the construction industry and understanding of the technical specifications required for both attic and cavity wall insulation. The Surveyors duties will include the following: Prepare detailed surveys indicating quantities of materials required and identify hazards for installation crews Explain in detail proposed works to clients Provide and explain energy advice to clients Provide the information for reports that will by required by the Project Supervisor and Waterford Area Partnership Ltd BER Assessor Qualification would be an advantage Experience in surveying role in the construction industry for a minimum of three years is desirable. Salary for Surveyor is based on FAS Community Employment Scheme participant rate.
