The cathedral is an important landmark in the city and forms a prominent centrepiece in the streetscape of Barronstrand Street. Christ Church Cathedral, Waterford is a neo-Classical cathedral built to designs prepared by John Roberts. It has a Doric portico and a very fine vaulted interior with Corinthian columns and delicate plasterwork. The Bishop’s Palace is the largest and finest Episcopal palace built in the country with the involvement of Richard Castle and John Roberts. It has been very well restored in recent years and suitably furnished. Waterford Medieval Museum is a tribute to Medieval Waterford. The carefully preserved Chorister's Hall and is one of the centrepieces of the new Medieval Museum.
