Institute of Scientific Research on Vedas (I-SERVE) (Recognised as SIRO by DSIR & notified as SRO u/s 35(1)(ii) of I.T. Act) Dear Sir/ Madam Let me introduce myself. I am Saroj Bala from 1972 Batch of Indian revenue Service. I am also deeply involved in ascertaining the historicity and dating of of ancient events narrated in Vedas and Epics etc. I am Director of Delhi Branch of I-SERVE. The outline of our research project, duly approved by Govt. of India, is as under: Project Title: Extraction, Translation and Sequential Dating of astronomical References in Sanskrit Manuscripts from Rigveda to Aryabhatya. Sanskrit scholars are expected to identify, locate and study authentic manuscripts/ books in order to extract all astronomical references including planetary configurations, location of nakshatras with reference to constellations and details of solar/ lunar eclipses etc. Highly qualified astronomers would make attempts to calculate the corresponding dates by making use of latest software namely: Planetarium Gold which is used by Research organisations like NASA and ISRO. The objective is to ascertain the true dates of most ancient events which occurred in India and in the world which would possibly establish that Vedic civilisation of India was probably the oldest civilisation in the world. Thereafter these results will be compared with archaeological, geological, ecological, anthropological, oceanographic evidences. The activities required to be undertaken are: 1. Identify, trace and collect relevant books and manuscripts in Sanskrit and its sister languages from different sources which contain any astronomical references. 2. These would include Vedas, puranas, Epics, Brahmanas, Aranyakas, Upanishadas and other relevant books including Bodh and Jain literature. 3. Extract all astronomical references, especially those relating to prevailing planetary configurations with reference to constellations and nakstatras, solar/lunar eclipses, and other heavenly occurrences and translate these into Hindi and/or English. These details will be passed on to the astronomers. 4. The Astronomers will work on these configurations in order to calculate the dates of such occurrences by making use of Planetarium/Starry Nights soft wares and/or other astronomical standards. 1 5. Sequential dates calculated in this manner would be compiled and printed along with the relevant Sanskrit references, astronomical calculations and pictures of sky-view on the relevant dates 6. Extract from ancient manuscripts all ecological references, especially those relating to melting of glaciers, flowing of rivers, fluctuations in water volumes of ancient rivers, their tributaries and distributaries etc. 7. The scientists will compare these details with the Global Climatic changes since the Holocene (after last ice age) recorded in the research reports and satellite cum field studies with the objective of calculating matching dates. The outcomes will be organized sequentially. 8. The work done by Sanskrit scholars in association with the ecologists and astronomers would be presented before archaeologists, geologists, oceanographers, anthropologists and space scientists etc so that these details get compared with satellite imagery, archaeological, geological and geographical evidences, mathematical and anthropological data. 9. By strictly following these steps, it should be possible to scientifically reconstruct the ancient history not only of India but of the whole world as the dates of important events would get ascertained in a most credible and authentic manner. 10. It is also believed that these project reports would establish the antiquity and continuity of Vedic civilisation in India. The discovery of India’s glorious past would raise our self esteem and instil motivation as well as confidence in the minds of our countrymen to take on the world. 11. Sample dating of the era of Lord Rama done with this method can be seen by opening sarojbala@blogspot.com We are looking for Sanskrit scholars, ecologists, astronomers, archaeologists, geologists, oceanographers, anthropologists, space scientists and other learned scholars, who feel interested in associating with this research work.
