BizPlan Project Assignment (Assignments Link in Blackboard) You will use the General Business Plan Outline (simple version) I'm providing for you to wirite a FINISHED plan from the rough drafts of MYBs 1 thru 14 you're doing for the Discussion Posts below. You will first choose an idea for a business start-up and turn it in as an Assignment using the appropriate assignment turn-in link in Blackboard. (Retailer, Service, Wholesaler, Manufacturer, etc.) You'll expand on that idea starting with the the Discussion MYB1 post. The FINISHED Biz Plan will be turned in as a file attachment using the Assignment Link in the Main Blackboard menu at the end of the 4th week. Click here for a printable version of the Biz Plan outline you will use. You must use Microsoft Word document format to upload your Biz Plan as an attachments in the Assignments area. No other format will be accepted for attached files. TextBook Quizzes (Assessments Link in Blackboard) You will be required to complete 14 quizzes during the semester. It is highly recommended that you read and understand the chapter before taking its quiz. Each quiz will pertain to one specific chapter. Each quiz has 15 multiple choice questions. You can take each quiz 3 times and your HIGHest of the three attempts will be counted. They will time out after 4 hours. The questions may "randomize" each time, so take notes on your answers . All quizzes are open book quizzes, meaning you may utilize the book to support you in answering the questions. The purpose of the quizzes is to measure your comprehension of the chapter material and to ensure that you're actually reading the book! All quizzes are located under the "Assessment" link under Course Tools in Blackboard. Discussions: MYB Discussion Posts - aka Minding Your Business (Discussion Board Forums Link in Blackboard) You will have 14 separate MYB Discussion Posts, one for each of the Class Session website lessons (Class Sessions Link in Blackboard). You will be answering questions on topics that will be a rough draft of your business plan. Each topic is a Word document file. You will copy and paste what you type to turn them in via a amcthing Blackboard Discussion Forum link. You must post your answers in the space provided (text box) of the specific MYB assignment by copying and pasting from the Word file. DO NOT ATTACH the file but do type your answers and save the file. You will be required to respond to at least 3 other student posts in each of the 14 discussions. You must have one topic post and three responses to other student's posts to receive any points. You will need to comprehensively answer all questions and relate your answers to the website materials. All Discussion posts must be typed and spell checked. Don't eMail assignments. Emailed assignments will NOT be accepted or graded. All coursework must be submitted using the appropriate Assignment, Assessment or Discussion Forum link in Blackboard. If you're uploading your BizPlan Assignment, make sure you use Microsoft Word document files; .doc, .docx, .rtf or .pdf files will be accepted. I can only open Microsoft WORD files.
