Notification of the resignation of the acting managing editor and discussion of contracting for those services. Review concept to possibly relocate Quarterly production to the Public History Department at UNLV. LEGISLATIVE ACTIONS Discussion and possible action related to outcome of the 26th Special Session of the Nevada Legislature that impact museums; specifically a review of AB 6 and SB 3. Section 6 of AB 6 reduces General Fund appropriations for museums in SFY 2011, with the intent that the Board of Museums and History will raise by 50% admission and train ride fees in museums, per authority vested in NRS 381.0045, to offset the reduced General Fund support. Discussion and action to accept restricted funds in the amount of $5,000.00 from Craig & Dennis Bohmont for the Nevada State Museum: funds to be deposited in the Jessie Pope Project Fund for collections documentation at the Marjorie Russell Clothing and Textile Research Center. (Action) 12. BOARD FUNDRAISING Further discussion from previous meetings with respect to the role of the Board in assisting museums in fundraising and political awareness. (Discussion) 13.
