MEETING RESULTS

Treasury / Membership Report

 We have $10,296 in open liabilities, and $3,836 in available cash which includes the capital

 funds.

We agreed to pay gas, water, waste, PNC and Verizon to stay current on commitments.

 The balances of Vigiliotti and Sullivan plumbing are still open.

 Insurance premium upfront payment is coming up. Jen will contact Trimbur to find out the amount (we expect it to be around $1,200)

Mary Pat owes is January and February rent, Jen will contact her on the past due amounts.

2011 Membership Drive

 We have about 150 paid members already which is great news.

 Jen will contact Tara Taylor about sending out the membership reminder letter

 Ceil will work with the block captains to solicit new BCA members.

2011 Fundraising Goal = $75,000

 Request from Adrienne & Lil Cost Estimates for outreach letter to potential lead donors

 Content needed for Business Case, Marketing – Olivia offered to do the brochure

 Web Site Development – Sarah created an outline. Jen/Olivia/Lesa will build out additional content.

 Building / Sketches – Reviewed the “BCA wish list” which is a blank sheet of requirements for a new or renovated building. Jen is working with Dick Myers to develop some conceptual sketches for the campaign.

 Capital Party Date – This will remain TBD until we get the marketing brochure, website and sketches done.

Beef & Beer Planning

 Sarah will be dropping of the B&B tickets for board members to sell. The goal is for each member to sell at least 10 tickets. Contact Sarah if you can sell more!!!

 Sarah said that we need more sides, so far we have cheesy potatoes, Ceil’s “hot dish” and 2 desserts.

 Sarah will be sending an email out reminding them of their assignments.

 Checked the cabinets and we have napkins and plastic utensils, 1 case of sprite, 1 case of diet coke.

 We need to purchase more soda, plates, bowls for horseradish dish

 Lee Borellis has offered to help serve

Blackboard

 Gary had offered to stay on as Blackboard Editor and Olivia has offered to help out.

Recruiting for New Members

 Reviewed the 2011 – 2012 board candidates (see below)

 We have people lined up for some positions but we need the following still: VP Buildings &

Grounds, Wilkinsburg At Large, Historian

Olivia recommended we developed more detailed role descriptions so we could cleary article the responsibilities. Jen will sned the current drafts to Olivia to review. It was also suggested we post these online and on the telephone poles for recruitment. Our goal is to overstaff given we have the huge capital campaign going on.

Fundraising

 A couple of ideas floated around about fundraising including: Bingo, Night at Races, Soup

Party, B52 raffle tickets and Carnival

 The board agreed that everyone will bring their 2011 fundraising idea to the next meeting and we’ll vote on the top 1 or 2 ideas for 2011.
