Procedures for the preliminary test of pure IP links on the Washington-Tokyo-Melbourne MTN segment (Version 1.2) 1. Outline of the preliminary test The preliminary test consists of two phases. The FIRST PHASE is the test via INTERNET and the SECOND PHASE is the test using a LEASED CIRCUIT. Main purpose of the first phase is to confirm connectivity between socket applications. In the second phase, other items are tested on near operation environment. Simulation period for routine operation is arranged the last of the second phase, and then the operational circuit is switched from current one to new one. 2.
