Prayers, financial help asked this Sunday for tornado victims
In a message sent to diocesan leaders on Monday, Bishop Dean Wolfe asked that every
congregation in the diocese help victims of recent tornados in two ways this Sunday: through prayers and
a special monetary collection to support the work of Episcopal Relief and Development.
After this Sunday’s collection, churches should forward one check to the diocese; in turn we will
forward one combined check to ER-D.
Please make parish checks payable to “Episcopal Diocese of Kansas,” with “Tornado Relief” in the
memo line. Mail checks to Episcopal Diocese of Kansas, Tornado Relief, 835 SW Polk St., Topeka, KS
66612.
The bishop’s entire statement is available on the diocesan website at http://www.episcopalks.org/bishop/tornado_response-April-2014.php.
