Teacher Appreciation
Week is here! Dates here!
We appreciate our TRE staff throughout the year, but next week, we’re going to make each day
extra special for all our teachers staff, and specialists.
If your teacher filled out the "Favorites List" at the beginning of the year, it's a great
resource to follow! Feel free to cut/paste the message below when communicating with
your parents, but be sure to customize it with your teacher's name/favorites/your contact
info! Also, if you have other ideas for daily activities, please share!!! The daily activities
below are just suggestions. Hopefully, you can notify your classroom parents one to two
weeks ahead to give them ample time to respond if any donations are needed.
Monday: Ms. Jones loves Chai Tea Lattes from Starbucks, so I can bring her a
latte from the class. We have a few dollars left over from the holiday party, so
that should cover her tea.
Tuesday: Please have your child write a letter to Ms. Jones telling her why she
is special and what they love about 1st grade! The children can hand the letter to
her when they enter class, and I will have a folder in which we can put all of the
pages for Ms. Jones to read and save. Feel free to have your child draw a picture
or include a photo of themselves. Let them be creative!
Wednesday: Please have your child bring her one flower. I will have a vase in
which we can put all of the flowers to make a special "Teacher Appreciation
Bouquet". Wed. is also the PTA sponsored teacher luncheon!
Thursday: Please have your child make and decorate a special card for Ms.
Jones.
Friday: Some of Ms. Jones's favorite shops/restaurants are Target, Petsmart,
Starbucks, & Trader Joes. If you would like to donate a few dollars, we can
purchase one card or an assortment of gift cards to give to her on Friday. Please
send the donation in an envelope with your child's name addressed to Room Parent
by Wed. 5/2. We will present the card(s) as a gift from the class. Or if you have a
gift card that you would like to donate, please feel free to have your child deliver it
to Ms. Jones on Friday.
Feel free to participate in the activities of your choice. We just want to make sure
that Ms. Jones feels appreciated!
