Hippie Radio 97.5 “Father Mows Best” Mower Giveaway
Contestants can only register for the “Father Knows Best” giveaway (Contest) at the
(Title Sponsor MURCOCH’S). And other secondary sponsors of Father Mows Best.
This contest will run May 12th thru June 20th. The Father Mows Best Giveaway will be
on the first day of summer, June 21st at Murdoch’s. The Winner bears sole responsibility
for all taxes for the prize valued over $600. Only one registration per Contestant per
drawing is allowed and the Qualifiers will need to be present to win on June 21st.
Hippie Radio 97.5 will conduct on air Qualifying Monday Through Friday in these hours
7am, 8am, 10am, 12pm, 2pm, 4pm and 5pm. We will draw names from each sponsor
box and sponsors will receive mentions on this and all recorded promotional
announcements. The Person will have 9 minutes and 75 seconds to call in to qualify, and
when they do they are qualified for the Grand Prize Drawing. We could get up to 7
qualifiers per day. On Friday June 20th , we will conduct a 2nd chance call out of people
who registered, had their name called but didn’t call in and invite them to be a contestant
on the first day of summer. During the live broadcast giveaway at the title sponsor on
June 21st, we will conduct what we will call a Reverse Drawing. All the qualifiers names
will be put into a drawing and we’ll begin to call names. We will have fun with this and
talk to each person and again they must be present, if they are not we will move on to the
next name. We will draw 10 names at the beginning of the Road Show! Those 10 people
will become our Super Qualifiers. We will have lanyards with Numbers printed on them
and each qualifier will receive a Number. We will again introduce each of our qualifiers
and find out where they are from. After that we will break out Ping Pong Balls that will
be numbered 1 through 10. I suppose they will look a little like Lottery Balls. We will
explain, that now we begin with the reverse drawing. At that point we’ll announce
someone from Murdoch’s to come up to help with the drawings. They will reach in and
begin to draw numbers, doing this until we get to the last two qualifiers. The last Person
Standing wins the Lawn Mower!
All Qualifiers for the Contest’s Grand Prize must be present at Murdoch’s on June 21st or
they will be disqualified from the Contest. We will announce the time of the remote and
give each qualifier that information ahead of time. They will be informed!
At the Grand Prize Giveaway the winner will be determined by a reverse raffle. Ten
“Super Qualifiers” will be drawn from all Father Mows Best qualifiers. Each Super
Qualifier will be given a Number between 1 & 10. Then Hippie Radio and Murdoch’s
will begin drawing balls numbered 1-10. When a number is picked that person is told
they are not the winner and the drawing continues. We will continue drawing numbers
until there is only one person left on stage. That person is the grand prize winner.
This should be a Two Hour Party with Food and Beverage, And we bring the music!
Three Eagles Communications’ “General Contest Rules”
(KWUZ) (“Hippie Radio 97.5”)
All participants must be 19 years of age or older.
Persons may win only one prize from Three Eagles Communications every 30 day
period. Individual Station Contests might also specify one winner per household or
company. Persons may only win one (1) major (valued at over $500.00) prize within a 12
month period from each Three Eagles’ Station. In the event a person wins two major
prizes within a 12-month period from the same Station, the first prize won must be
accepted, forfeiting subsequent winnings. rizes must be claimed within 30 days, and must
be accepted as is or forfeited. Winners are responsible for any and all taxes incurred as a
result of their winnings. Each winner of prize(s) valued at or with a combined value of at
least $600 will receive an IRS 1099 form at the end of the calendar year. Some prizes
may require the winner to pay sales tax in addition. All winners must meet all individual
Station Contest eligibility requirements, which include but are not limited to, providing
picture identification, social security number, and signing a release form in order to
receive the prizes won. Winners of Station Contests, by their acceptance of prize(s),
release Three Eagles Communications to use their name, voice and likeness in any or all
Station publicity surrounding the Contest promotion. The decisions of Three Eagles
Communications’ Management are final. Three Eagles Communications employees and
their relatives, sponsor employees and their relatives, live remote sponsor employees and
their relatives, and any other radio station’s employees and their relatives, are ineligible
to win the prizes. Station reserves the right to stop the promotion at any time for any
reason, including a national disaster, terrorist activity (or the threat thereof), or any other
event reasonably beyond the control of Station. In the event Winner is subject to any
order or legal process issued by any governmental agency having jurisdiction over the
affairs of Winner (i.e. - garnishment, child support order, judgment, lien, and the like),
Station’s delivery of prizes to the official representative of the governmental entity
claiming a right to the prizes shall be deemed to be awarding the prizes to Winner.
Station shall be entitled to rely in good faith upon any documents presented by the
representatives seeking to collect prizes in lieu of Winner. Station shall not be liable for
any claim by Winner for damages incidental thereto. In consideration of being permitted
to participate in Contest, all participants, for themselves, their personal representatives,
heirs, spouse, parents, siblings, and children, hereby, RELEASES, WAIVES,
DISCHARGES AND COVENANTS NOT TO SUE Three Eagles of Colorado, Inc.,
Station(s), Three Eagles Communications, Inc., and all Sponsors, their officers, directors,
trustees, agents and employees, -- all of whom shall be referred to as “Releasees” -- from
all liability to the participant, his personal representatives, assigns, heirs, parents,
siblings, spouse, and children for any and all loss or damage, and any claim or demands
therefore on account of injury to the participant’s person, his death or damage to his
property, which occurs as a result of the participant’s presence at Contest, or participation
in any Contest sponsored/conducted activity, whether such death, injury or property
damage is caused by the negligence or other wrongful conduct of, or breach of contract or
warranty by, one or more of the Releasees. PARTICPANT ASSUMES FULL
RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY RISK OF BODILY INJURY, DEATH OR PROPERTY
DAMAGE arising out of or related to the participant’s presence at Contest, or
participation in any Contest sponsored/conducted activity, whether caused by the
Releasees’ negligence, breach of contract or warranty or other legal theory.
By entering Contest, each contestant agrees to comply with the all Contest rules.
