MATERIAL SAFETY DATA:
This product is not licensed or approved for administration to humans or to animals other than the
experimental animals. Standard Laboratory Practices should be followed when handling this material. The
chemical, physical, and toxicological properties of this material have not been thoroughly investigated.
Appropriate measures should be taken to avoid skin and eye contact, inhalation, and ingestion.
CLASSIFICATION OF PURE SUBSTANCE: Sodium Azide (X1:R36/38) + ProClin
(T;23,24,25-43; C;R34; N;R50-53).
It has been determined that the remaining ingredient(s) and/or kit(s) are NOT CLASSIFIED AS
HAZARDOUS CHEMICALS due to their physical and/or chemical nature and/or concentration in
solution. This is in accordance with California and Federal OSHA regulations (Federal Register 29CFR
1910,1200), and the Chemicals (Hazard Information and Packaging for Supply Regulations (European
Community).

FIRST AID: Contamination of eyes should be treated by immediate and prolonged irrigation with
copious amounts of water. In case of skin contact, wash skin with soap and water. If the solution is
heated to a boiling temperature or above, contact with the solution may cause a severe burn (see a local
physician).
SPILL OR LEAK PROCEDURES: Avoid physical contact. Wear the appropriated clothing, gloves
and goggles, and dilute with water and use paper towels or absorbent pad.
WASTE DISPOSAL: Observe all federal, state and local environmental regulations.
