NPS / British Isle Area Working Hunter Pony Championship. The winning pony from each of the working hunter pony classes
(excluding Leading Rein and First Ridden classes) held at the show is eligible to go forward to this championship. There are no specific
registration criteria for ponies. The owner need not be an NPS member for the pony/horse to enter this competition or to qualify for the
final but will have to become a Qualifying member to enter the final. The Supreme Champion and Reserve Supreme Champion
ponies at each NPS Area show qualify for the final at the NPS Summer Championship show. If the Supreme and/or Reserve
Supreme have already qualified then the qualification may go to the third place, but no lower

The NPS M&M Ridden Silver Medal Rosette Championship Sponsored by THE MINNS
This Championship is for stallions, mares and geldings, registered in the main body of the Breed Society stud book, which have won their
NPS affiliated M&M Ridden class at the qualifying show (with the exception of Working Hunter Pony, First Ridden and Leading Rein
classes).b) Rider any age, except stallions (see rules in section A 3.2) c) The Silver Medal Rosette goes to the Champion, if owned by an
NPS Qualifying or Life member. If the Champion is not owned by an NPS member the Silver Medal Rosette goes to the Reserve if it is
owned by an NPS member. Silver Medal Rosette to go no lower than Reserve provided it is owned by an NPS member. The qualification
goes to the Champion if owned by an NPS member and not already qualified for the final. If the Champion is not owned by an NPS
Members or has already qualified then the qualification goes to the Reserve Champion, if owned by an NPS member, unless he has
already qualified. Membership cards must be shown in the ring to receive the medal and/or the qualification.
RING THREE – 8.30 am
The Jockey Club RoR Novice Thoroughbred Show Series 2015
Class 36. The Jockey Club RoR Novice Thoroughbred Ridden Show Horse Class
Thoroughbred mare or gelding, 4years old or over, any height. To take part in this class, horses must NOT have won any RoR qualifier (inc
SEIB/HOYS,TARRA ,TATTERSALLS, JOCKEY CLUB NOVICE OR TBA CHALLENGE qualifier or any other open show class). Riders must be 15 years or over
on 1st January. Horses should be ridden in a snaffle, pelham or simple double bridle. Horses should be plaited. The first three go forward to the
championship at the Aintree National Showing Show August 2015 or 2016 for shows September 2015 to August 2016. All entries MUST be
registered with with the ROR and have RACED in GB. The class will be run under the rules of RoR. Horses will NOT be ridden by the judge; each
horse to complete an individual show or no longer than 1 ½ minutes to include the following movements: Walk, Trot, Canter showing change of leg,
extended canter, halt and stand, walk off on long rein. Horses will be stripped for conformation. All those entering horses and/or participating in the
show agree to be bound by the Retraining of Racehorses Rules and Regulations from time to time in force. Please be aware that the show will split
the class on the horse’s last run in a race (NH or Flat) should the entries exceed 20. Please mark your entry form accordingly. Competitors must wear
a safety/kite mark hard hat with a chinstrap.
Racing injuries and blemishes are NOT ignored in this series.
TARRA RIDDEN RETIRED RACEHORSE
Class 37. TARRA Ridden: Open to all Weatherbys (or relevant foreign thoroughbred authority) registered Thoroughbreds
raced or unraced (passports may be checked) 4yrs and over owned and ridden by an amateur. Ideally racing name of
horse to be used on entry form. Class will be judged under a ‘riding horse’ format without ‘type’ being taken into
consideration. Injuries and blemishes caused through racing will be overlooked. The first two horses will qualify and
qualification will pass down the line to fourth place only. The judge may ride. This is a qualifier for the TARRA Ridden
Championship at Aintree, August 2015.

Class 38. TARRA In-Hand: Open to all Weatherbys (or relevant foreign thoroughbred authority) registered Thoroughbreds raced or
unraced (passports may be checked) any age owned and shown by an amateur. Ideally racing name of horse to be used on entry form.
Class will be judged under a normal in-hand format with injuries and blemishes caused through racing will be overlooked. The first two
horses will qualify and qualification will pass down to fourth place only. This is a qualifier for the TARRA In-Hand Championship at

The winning pony from each of the in hand classes held at the show is eligible to go forward to this championship. There are no specific
registration criteria for ponies. The owner need not be an NPS member for the pony/horse to enter this competition or to qualify for the
final but will have to become a Qualifying member to enter the final. The Supreme Champion and Reserve Supreme Champion
ponies at each NPS Area show qualify for the final at the NPS Summer Championship show. If the Supreme and/or Reserve
Supreme have already qualified then the qualification may go to the third place, but no lower

This show is run under NPS rules. Copies of The National Pony Society’s Rules can be obtained from The Secretary, The
National Pony Society, Stoneleigh Events, Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire CV8 2LZ or www.nationalponysociety.com
All ponies in Mountain & Moorland classes must be registered in their respective Stud Books and conform to the height limits
laid down by their Breed Societies. There is no height limit for Dales or Welsh Cobs, Section D.
All ponies in Anglo and Part Bred Arab classes must be registered with The Arab Horse Society
Broodmares must be four years old or over and must be shown in the ring with own foal at foot. All foals must be at least four
weeks old on the day of the show. A barren mare is a mare without a foal at foot in the current season. Mares with live foals
born in the current year cannot be entered in Riding, Driving or WHP classes.
All stallions and colts, 2 years old or over, must be in possession of a current Stallion Licence, unless otherwise governed by
their individual Breed Society.
Stallions and colts, two years old or over must be adequately bitted. Ridden stallions MUST display a stallion bridle marker
available from the NPS office. It is also recommended that In Hand stallions display a bridle marker .
Handlers of stallions and colts must have attained their 14 th birthday before 1st January of the current year. Riders of M & M
stallions – small breeds or stallions not exceeding 138 cm must have attained their 12th birthday before 1st January in the current
year. Riders of large M & M stallion or those exceeding 138 cm must have attained their 14th birthday before 1st January in the
current year.
In all classes whips / canes must not exceed 76cm.(30”).
The decision of the Judge is final. Any objection must be handed in to the Secretary in writing within 10 minutes of the alleged
incident, accompanied by a £30 deposit.
The Committee reserve the right to cancel, amalgamate or sub-divide any class as may seem justified.
The Committee reserve the right to refuse entry to any person without assigning a reason.
The class is closed and ponies will not be allowed into the ring:
In Hand - When the last pony has done its individual trot around the ring before being lined up
Ridden - When the class goes into trot
WHP
- 5 minutes after the last pony has jumped
All vehicles parked at owner’s risk.
Ponies are not to be left unattended whilst tied to the outside of vehicles/trailers.
No entry fees will be refunded unless a veterinary certificate is presented.
Correctly secured current British Standard Skull Caps / Riding Hats must be worn at all times when mounted on the
showground.
All dogs must be kept on leads.
Please do not leave any litter by the ringside or your transport but place it in the receptacles provided.

19. Lorries and Trailers are not to be mucked out on the show ground anybody found in breach of this rule will be fined
£25.00
20. The organisers will not be held responsible for any theft, accident, loss or damage to any exhibit, person or property however
caused. It is a condition of entry that every exhibitor/spectator shall indemnify the organisers against any legal proceedings
arising from any accident or injury, incident or misdemeanour however caused. We strongly recommend that all exhibitors carry
Public Liability Insurance.
21. In the event of cancellation 50% of entry fees will be withheld.
22. All ponies must be accompanied by a valid, up to date passport
23. Side reins / draw reins / grass reins are not permitted when riding on the showground

Qualifying Rounds and the NPS Silver Medal Rosette Championships will all be run under the National Pony

CHERIF CHAMPIONSHIP 2015
This is a qualifying Show for the CHERIF CHAMPIONSHIP 2015. The final will be held at the Cherif Championship Show, Addington
Manor Equestrian Centre, Addington, Buckinghamshire, on 16th September 2015. All details and qualifying cards at £25.00 each
(payable to Cherif Championship) from: Miss L Temple, The Stables, Ashton Gifford Lane, Codford, Wiltshire, BA12 0JX. Please state
the name and accurate height of horse/pony. SAE please, and contact phone number.
Class 40. Two entries may qualify; the highest placed pony at 138cms and under (Pink Card), and the highest placed pony over 138cms
up to and including 148cms (Blue Card) will qualify. Both ponies must be within the first four in the class. Ponies will not be ridden by the
Judge at qualifying Shows, but will be ridden by a lightweight adult at the Cherif Championship final.
Class 41. Two entries may qualify; the highest placed entries within the first four in the class at (a) up to and including 153cms and (b)
over 153cms will qualify. No entry placed lower than fourth can qualify, even if only one height section is covered by the top four in the
class. Will be ridden by the Judge.
Exhibitors are issued with colour coded qualifying cards, which state the height section of the horse/pony. Competitors must carry their
qualifying cards with them in the ring to be signed by the judge. Failure to produce the card for signature means non qualification. NO
CARDS ARE TO BE BROUGHT INTO THE RING ONCE THE CLASS HAS STARTED
The Jockey Club RoR Novice Thoroughbred Show Series 2015
Thoroughbred mare or gelding, 4years old or over, any height. To take part in this class, horses must NOT have won any open show
class. (RoR, SEIB/HOYS qualifier or any other open show class). Riders must be 15 years or over on 1 st January. Horses should be
ridden in a snaffle, pelham or simple double bridle. Horses should be plaited. The first three go forward to the championship at the
Aintree National Showing Show July 2015 or 2015 for shows August 2014 to July 2015. All entries MUST be registered with
Weatherbys in their General Stud Book and MUST also be registered with the ROR. The class is open to thoroughbreds that have
RACED. The class will be run under the rules of RoR. Horses will NOT be ridden by the judge; each horse to complete an individual
show or no longer than 1 ½ minutes to include the following movements: Walk, Trot, Canter showing change of leg, extended canter, halt
and stand, walk off on long rein. Horses will be stripped for conformation. All those entering horses and/or participating in the show agree
to be bound by the Retraining of Racehorses Rules and Regulations from time to time in force. Please be aware that the show will split
the class on the horse’s last run in a race (NH or Flat) should the entries exceed 20. Please mark your entry form accordingly.
Competitors must wear a safety/kite mark hard hat with a chinstrap
BSPA ROYAL INTERNATION HORSE SHOW QUALIFIERS 2015
Classes 47-50 are affiliated to the British Skewbald and Piebald Association and are qualifiers for The Royal International Horse Show,
Hickstead Tuesday 28th July 2015. Classes will be judged under BSPA rules download from www.bspaonline.com All Horse/Ponies must
be registered and all owners and riders BSPA members prior to the show. Riders age taken from 1st January. Membership and
qualification cards must be carried in the ring by competitors and produced as required for inspection or signature. Failing to do so will
mean disqualification. Spurs may not be worn in any pony class. Ponies 153xm or under (shetlands exempt) must possess a current JMB
height certificate.
All stallions must be graded with BSPA and in possession of a BSPA stallion ID card which must be carried at all times and
produced in request. All stallions must wear a BSPS stallion disc. No rider under 14 may exhibit a stallion in any class.
Qualification: 1st Place and the next unqualified competitor standing 2 nd or 3rd qualify from each class, no competitor may qualify from
lower than 3rd place. Highest placed amateur and highest placed junior in classes 43-50 (must be members of BSPA) qualify for
the amateur and junior supreme championship finals to be held at BSPS World of Colour Championship Show on the 23 rd
August 2015 at The College EC Keysoe, Beds. Cards to be shown and qualification cards signed.
BSPA Classes are open to Skewbald & Piebald Horses and Ponies only. Open to Members and Non Members. Classes 47-54 are
affiliated to the British Skewbald and Piebald Association and are qualifiers for The World Championships of Colour National
Championship Show to be held at The College EC Keysoe, Beds on the 23rd August 2015. All classes will be judged within the rules and
criteria of The BSPA. Copies of the rulebook and membership/horse registration/overstamping forms can be obtained from show office or
downloaded from www.bspaonline.com All stallions 4yrs old and over must be graded with BSPS and in possession of a BSPS
stallion ID card which must be carried at all times and produced in request. All stallions must wear a BSPS stallion disc. No
rider under 14 may exhibit a stallion in any class. In order to qualify all owners/handlers/riders must be members of the BSPA and all
horse/ponies registered with BSPA prior to the show. BSPA qualification cards must be produced in the ring and signed by the judge,
otherwise qualification is invalid.
TGCA In Hand and Ridden Classes
These classes are qualifiers for the Traditional Gypsy Cob Association (TGCA) National Breed Championship Show (TOYS) which will be
held at Keysoe EC, Bedfordshire, on 19th and 20th September 2015. These classes are open to both coloured and solid traditional gypsy
cobs. You do not need to be a current member or to have your horse registered with the TGCA in order to take part in these classes.
Qualification will go to the top 3 youngstock, top 3 up to 14hh and top 3 over 14h, provided the exhibit meets the traditional gypsy cob
breed standard (see stallion exception below). All exhibits must be registered (passports over-stamped) and owners and handlers be fully

paid up members either prior to, or within 21 days of the show date. Existing members must present their qualification card to the judge in
the ring for signature. Non members will receive a qualification slip from the judge and will need to join the TGCA and register their horse
within the 21 day timeframe in order to validate this qualification. All stallions (four years and over) must be licensed with the TGCA prior
to the show and must display their TGCA stallion disc on their bridle when competing in order to qualify for TOYS. Non licensed stallions
may compete in the classes but are not eligible for qualification. All stallions and colts (two years and over) must be bitted when in the
ring. Foals born in the current year are not permitted to be shown in TGCA classes, though they may be shown at TOYS.
Ridden Classes: Exhibits must be 4 years and over and comply with the above. Additional TOYS qualification is awarded to the highest
placed junior rider and the highest placed exhibitor eligible for the restricted category in the class (i.e. rider and exhibit NOT to have
qualified for HOYS, RIHS, or been placed 1st to 3rd at any county level or in any TOYS Finals in the last 24 months). Cards need to be
signed for the categories.
For Shows that are invited to run as a TGCA Quest Show
The TGCA Quest for a Star Championship is open to the first and second placed from the TGCA qualification classes. This
Championship class is only open to current TGCA members (membership cards must be presented) and stallions must be already
licensed with the TGCA and display their TGCA stallion disc on their bridle. The Quest Champion and Reserve qualify for the Ultimate
Star Championships at TOYS 2013
BSPS Summer Championships 2015
This Show is affiliated to the British Show Pony Society (BSPS No 40/15) and all persons entering, competing, showing or otherwise
taking part in BSPS classes, whether or not Members of the BSPS, are subject to the Constitution and Rules of the BSPS, including the
disciplinary procedures, and shall be deemed to have consented to the jurisdiction of the BSPS. Any pony taking part in classes judged
under BSPS/NPS/PUK Rules will be liable to dope testing. Classes 25 to 28 are qualifiers for the B.S.P.S. “Black Country Saddles” Best
Rider, B.S.P.S. “Classic Security UK Ltd” Challenge, B.S.P.S. Premier League and B.S.P.S. WOW Factor at the B.S.P.S. Summer
Championship Show (please see BSPS Rule & Show Handbook for qualification)
