Hello, I would like to invite you to join us at the (108th correct year) Eastern Oregon Livestock
Show, Rodeo & Junior Auction. The Junior Livestock Auction will be held Saturday,
(June 12, 2010 correct date), beginning at 8:00 a.m. at the EOLS Grounds in Union. Please
come join us and support the youth of our community.
My name is (your name) and I have been a 4-H member for six
years. My project for the 2010 EOLS 4-H Show is a market
steer named Hagrid. He currently weighs 1,275 pounds, and is
very calm cool and collected, quite the ham at times eating my
shirt and licking at me, but he is finishing well.
I am currently a Union County 4H Junior Ambassador, a group
of 4-H members that promotes
4-H throughout Union County and the State of Oregon. I am an
active member of the (your club name) 4-H Club with my steer
project and a market goat project for the Union County Fair. I
am also a budding photographer, and will have photos for
display as an individual participant, which I have obtained from
High School Rodeos and people watching. These projects are
teaching me responsibility, presentation and how to work hard
for my future.
There are a number of ways to support the EOLS Junior Livestock Auction. You may purchase
an animal for locker meat, “resale” a purchase, or you may make a lump sum donation of any
amount. (Please take a look at the EOLS Junior Auction Buyer’s Guide enclosed). Of course,
we would like to have you join us at the Auction as it’s a fun time for all, but if you are unable to
attend, the EOLS Auction Committee has people who will purchase or make a donation on your
behalf.
This year is the 108th annual Eastern Oregon Livestock Show (EOLS). The week begins on
Monday, with the 4-H horse showmanship, followed by the 4-H & FFA Livestock Show.
Thursday and Friday, we show our market animals in showmanship and confirmation classes.
The Rodeo begins on Friday, and features 3 days of top PRCA cowboys and cowgirls, as well
as Pari-mutual horse racing. Saturday, June 13, 2015, wraps up the 4-H and FFA Livestock
Show with the Junior Livestock Auction. EOLS offers a little of something for everyone. Please
come join us in the fun.
