Aquasplash Waterpark, Marineland, France Makes a Splash!
Aquasplash Waterpark expands once more! Again with Polin!
Aqua Splash Waterpark, part of Marineland Espace, located on the French Riviera near
Antibes, Juan Les Pins, France added a signature waterslide and a new kids water play
ground. Expansion completed on April 2011 and the park opened on June 11 th with new
additions for the 2011 season.
Just two years ago in April 2009, the well-known Aqua Splash Waterpark of Marineland
added two Polin waterslides. Turbolance and Space Boat. The design, the ride paths, the
superior quality finish but mostly the color choice of these two slides attracted attention and
those ex-additions were greeted with excitement.
Aquasplash Waterpark chose to expand once more in 2011 and kept Polin as the supplier.
Polin supplied a signature ride, Hybrid Dragero waterslide and kids’ water play area which is
rich in terms of the kids focused water play features. The new kids water play area hosts
Octopus Slide, Mini Pirate Slide, Cobra Slide, Penguin Shower, Giraffe Shower, Mini Octopus
Slide and an Obstacle Track, which is a new game by Polin to increase activity in the pool
area.
The new head-first mat racer ride with a dynamic multi-color combination, Hybrid Dragero is
150 meter long and is especially designed for Aquasplash. It is a sophisticated, thrilling, highcapacity waterslide starting with high speed 3 multiracer lanes with a big drop and following
an uphill ride route and finally transforming into 3 enclosed aqua tube slides and ending in
an aqua catch.
“Our new waterslide, Dragero is just perfect. It is the attraction of the year!” says Bernard
Giampolo, General Manager. Mr. Giampolo adds: “More importantly, that is what our guests
say. They all agree that this is a thrilling, exciting, unique ride. The advertisements with the
renderings of the new slide had already attracted attention before the opening but it
exceeded the expectations.”
“There were so many options. It has not been an easy decision but at the end, we are very
satisfied with our choice. The design, the ride path, the quality, the high capacity, and the
color combination of our new waterslide are great. This has been a great addition. ” tells
Mark Leden, Architect.
The park managers add that due to the new additions, the guest numbers increased 15-18%
compared to the same period of time last year in spite of the rainy weather conditions.

Aqua Splash Waterpark and Adventure Golf Park. Marineland was founded in 1970 as an
