INVITATION TO GLASSACTION MEETING:
TUESDAY 21st MARCH 2006
GlassAction was formed in 2004 to develop closer working relationships between
existing, new and potential end markets, collectors and reprocessors of glass.
The forum is supported and co-ordinated by British Glass and WRAP (the Waste &
Resources Action Programme) and has met twice since its inception with a high level of
attendance and participation at both meetings.
British Glass and WRAP are hosting the next GlassAction update meeting on Tuesday
21st March 2006. An outline itinerary for the day and fax back form is attached.
For the first time it has been decided to extend the scope of the event and to invite
those involved in glass packaging design and specification. The afternoon session will
therefore focus on activities specific to glass container manufacture, in particular, the
waste minimisation and recycling opportunities which lightweighting and UK bottling of
imported products can provide.
