evaluation and investigation; GP are involved in joint further follow up after initial

Bariatric surgery department is third part of the Center for Obesity,
located in Clinic for Digestive Surgery in Clinical Center of Serbia. The
department has its own operating theatre with all relevant equipment for
performing bariatric surgery as well as its own hospital department. The
bariatric surgery department has its own surgeons and anesthesiologist
experienced in treatment of obese patients.
Data collection are obtained through INFOMEDIS (Local computer network
in Clinical Center of Serbia for patients data). One can approach to the
patient data with adequate password from different parts of the Center.
Beside this, every patient have its own data file that is located in
Outpatient Clinic of the Center for Obesity.
For last three years we performed twice a year CME course on the School
of Medicine, University of Belgrade devoted to the Basics of pathogenesis
and treatment of obesity. Among the speakers are all the doctors from the
staff of Center of Obesity. 200 to 250 medical doctors of different
specialities participated on each course.
Professor Dragan Micic is principal investigators of the scientific project
supported by the Ministry of Science, Republic of Serbia that is devoted to
the investigation of endocrine relationships in atherosclerosis and obesity.
