THE FOLLOWING STATEMENT MUST APPEAR ON ALL CME ACTIVITY MATERIALS AND
BROCHURES:
ACCME ACCREDITATION STATEMENT (use either the directly or jointly sponsored
statement, not both)
Directly Sponsored Programs
“The University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences is accredited by the
Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education
for physicians.”
Jointly Sponsored Programs
“This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation
requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education
(ACCME) through the joint providership of (name of accredited provider) and (name of
nonaccredited provider). The (name of accredited provider) is accredited by the ACCME to
provide continuing medical education for physicians.”
AMA/PRA DESIGNATION STATEMENT FOR CATEGORY 1
“The University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences designates this live
activity for a maximum of ___ Category 1 Credit(s)TM. Physicians should claim credit
commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.”
** These statements need to be separate paragraphs and cannot be used in promotional
materials until the program has been approved. You do need to include these statements
on flyers - but we will need the flyer before distribution in order to approve. The
paragraphs can be in small type. The CME statement cannot be combined with any other
program approval statements.
