WEDP/Practitioners’Forum/TOR/ May2006/KLH West End Drugs Partnership Practitioners’ Forum TERMS OF REFERENCE Aim The purpose of this group is to discuss operational issues that will lead to effective service delivery to the client group. Objectives To maintain and encourage Partnership, cross-border and multi agency liaison, intelligence and dialogue on drug activity in the West End. To facilitate effective communication and partnership between representatives of agencies including commissioners, enforcement and other appropriate professionals. To identify and action opportunities for joint working To information share relating to street trends, policies and procedures and examples of best practice To highlight gaps in sector knowledge /awareness and engage in dissemination of appropriate information to address this To consider training needs across the agencies involved, and plan training together. To develop effective communication and partnership links with both the WEDP community-led Forum and Managers’ Forum. Constitution The Forum has a WEDP Co-ordinator who will provide the organisation and secretariat. This Forum will have confidentiality in the information exchanged – if a forum member does not require certain information to go beyond the forum, it will not do so. This is intended to promote safety and security in the context of information shared. There should be a flow of information between the forums, available to all forum members. The minutes from each group’s meetings will be sent to the respective meeting Chairs. The Co-ordinator will also attend the other Fora and so can facilitate further effective communication. Meeting details The Practitioners’ Forum will meet every six weeks at St Giles in the Fields church, 60 St Giles High Street, WC2H 8LG
