For Immediate Release Tampa-area woman shares "10 Rules to Survive the Dating Jungle" Once she re-entered the dating world after her divorce a few years ago, 34year-old Tara Richter created a set of rules to make sure she would stop meeting Mr. Wrong. The guidelines, crafted from personal experiences, led to her debut book. Tampa - After her divorce a few years ago, Tara Richter quickly discovered why she wanted to be married in the first place. The dating world was a jungle, she found, crowded with snakes, lions and other fierce creatures that motivated her to plot a strategy to navigate her way to happiness. In her quest to find Mr. Right, the 34-year-old Richter created a strategy designed to help her avoid Mr. Wrong. Based on lessons learned from dates that did not proceed as anticipated, the Palm Harbor, Fla. resident who was raised in Omaha, Neb., crafted her own set of rules such as “Avoid the Knight in Shining Armor,” Respect Yourself and Your Boundaries,” and Be Safe, Research Your Date.” She discussed the guidelines with her friends, who were intrigued and wanted more. This sparked an idea in the mind of Richter, who is also an artist and a dating coach, and led to her first book, “10 Rules to Survive the Dating Jungle.” “Once I decided to start going on dates again following my divorce, I didn’t want to slip back into my old dating habits, so I thought it was important to establish rules,” Richter said. “If a date didn’t go well, I would reflect on it afterwards and develop a new rule. “As I discussed my dating problems with my other girlfriends, I noticed we were encountering a lot of the same issues,” Richter added. “Dating can be scary, but it can also be fun as long as you follow guidelines to help you find someone who will treat you with the love and respect you deserve.” Richter’s “10 Rules” are: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9.
