Nguyen Duy is one of Vietnam’s most accomplished poets –
having won the Van Nghe poetry prize in 1973
And the poetry prize of the Vietnam Writers’ Association in 1985.
His body of works include ten collections of poetry, three memoirs and a novel.
“Distant Road” is a selection of poems from all stages of Nguyen Duy’s career.
Nguyen Duy is in the United States for a three month residency at the invitation of
The William Joiner Center of the University of Massachusetts Boston
