Manos Vougioukas has over 28 years of professional experience
specialising in transport infrastructure appraisal, policy and technology
assessment, transport systems analysis, modelling, travel demand
forecasting, transport planning and management. He has worked on
transportation and related studies with major multi-disciplinary and
specialised consulting firms in the UK, Middle East, Far East, Greece
and more recently at pan-European level. Tasks carried out comprise
transport/traffic surveys; data processing and analysis; multi-modal
travel demand analysis, modelling and forecasting; economic
evaluation, financial analysis and operational assessment of
transportation and related projects for infrastructure studies and
comprehensive urban and regional development plans in several
countries. Specialist experience comprises demand and revenue
forecasting for road and transport project financing including private
sector participation, project management of EU-funded multi-partner
R&D and inter-regional co-operation projects, assessment of transport
pricing and financing policies and strategies, institution building,
providing specialist transport advice to multi-disciplinary project teams,
road traffic and public transport demand forecasting, stated
preference market research for Metro / LRT, road use charging, toll
