KLAUSMAN WOMEN IN BUSINESS SCHOLARSHIP Purpose – This program was established in 1998 to encourage undergraduate women to enter and seek leadership positions in business-related fields. The program ultimately seeks to influence business decisions that positively affect women by increasing the number of women in executive positions in the field of business management. This program was established from a bequest by Jane M. Klausman, a member of the Zonta Club of Syracuse, New York. Program Stats – Since the inception of the program in 1988, Zonta has awarded 357 scholarships totaling $778,000 to 274 women representing 47 countries. Eligibility – Women pursuing a business or business-related degree who demonstrate outstanding potential in the field are eligible. Online students are also eligible. Amount Awarded - District 12 recipient will be awarded 2 scholarships totaling $1,500 ($500 from District 12 and $1,000 from Zonta International). In addition, recipient will be entered to win one of 12 international scholarships in the amount of $7,000.
