EXCELSIOR COLLEGE
EXAMINATIONS PROGRAM (ECE)
ECE measure knowledge at the associate, baccalaureate and graduate levels in arts and sciences, business,
education, and nursing.
ECE consists of a series of examinations that test an individual's college level knowledge gained through
military classes or technical assignments or through personal reading, travel, and intellectual curiosity.
Each institution determines the acceptable score and the amount of credit granted for each examination.
See the SOC Guide to Arkansas Education for passing scores and to see which Arkansas colleges accept
ECE. Prior to testing the examinee needs to know their institutions ECE acceptance policy and passing
score requirements.
ECE are stocked (except for special order essay exams, which must be given during a set time frame – see
the order blank).
