TEK 8.11 A : Describe producer/consumer, predator/prey, and parasite/host relationships as they occur in food webs within marine, freshwater, and terrestrial ecosystems.
Assignment : Create a poster illustrating and describing two separate food webs representing a terrestrial ecosystem and a marine or freshwater ecosystem. The food webs must accurately represent all predator/prey relationships. The food webs must be illustrated by hand. You may draw your pictures of each organism or cut and paste individual pictures to create your food webs. You may NOT use already made food webs.
Food Web Requirements
: Each food web must contain the following…
1.
Pictures of at least 2 producers, 4 consumers, and 1 decomposer
Consumers: You must include the following
2 primary consumers
1 secondary consumer
1 tertiary consumer
2.
Label the name of each organism
3.
Label each organism as a producer, consumer, or decomposer.
4.
Use arrows to show the flow of energy between all the organisms.
5.
Include the primary energy source, the sun , in you food webs
6.
Include at least one parasite/host relationship for one of your food webs and label it.
