Types of Clinical Encounters: (PLEASE SPECIFY) Residents will see patients with acute and chronic psychiatric illnesses in a variety of settings including the Emergency Department, hospital wards, ICU, inpatient psychiatry units, and substance abuse unit. Demonstrate the ability to perform basic bedside cognitive testing. Conduct a psychiatric interview including a thorough mental status exam. Conduct interviews with patients’ families.
