PARISH NEWS
DURING HOLY WEEK we have walked with the Lord and have
celebrated the wonderful liturgies of the Mass of the Lord’s Supper and
commemorated the Lord’s Passion and death. We have shouted
“Hosanna! “ and “Crucify Him!” now at Easter we sing “Alleluia!” The
Lord has truly risen and living among his people.
With the recent election of our new holy father Pope Francis and the
celebration of Holy Week and Easter – Catholics can live, with
renewed hearts, lives of faith, hope and love.
May God fill you and your families with every Easter blessing
DEANERY PRAYERS
Each Sunday during Lent and Eastertide a different parish from our
Deanery will be prayed for in every church in our Deanery. This week
we will be praying for all the parishes in the Deanery.
“ Let us pray for each other, not only as individuals, but in
groups, families and parishes, strengthening the link between all
the faithful throughout our Deanery, who are joined together by
the love of Christ.”
TRAIDCRAFT STALL ON 14TH. APRIL NOT 7TH.
Traidcraft is different. Justice, fairness and dignity are fundamental to
the way it works. It is a leading organisation in fighting poverty through
trade. “Our bottom line isn’t about commodities, it’s about
communities.” Traidcraft embraces the marginalised and gives a handup rather than a hand-out.
STREET PASTORS
Street Pastors walk the streets of Exeter between 10.30pm and 3.30
am. every Friday and Saturday night, helping vulnerable people get
home safely and clearing away bottles and broken glass. They are
coming to speak at Blessed Sacrament Church in April.
