save for any damage or injury caused or contributed to by the negligent or deliberate
action or omission of the Territory, its servants, agents or contractors.

General Terms and Conditions
The free service is available to ACT residents who hold one of the following Concession
Cards (an Action Gold Card, a Department of Veteran Affairs Gold, a Centrelink Pensioner
Concession Card or an Action MyWay Card for over 75’s).
The following materials have been identified as being “non –acceptable” for the purpose of
the Service:

a. Garden (grass clippings, pruning’s etc) or household (food) organic waste
b. Household chemicals or hazardous wastes (including paint, motor or cooking
oils, pesticides, fungicides, herbicides, pool chemicals, cleaning chemicals,
fuels & oils, medicines or any liquids)
c. Mirrors or sheet glass
d. Asbestos sheeting or asbestos products
e. Gas bottles/fire extinguishers
f. Dirt or mixed fill material
g. Sharps, needles or sharps containers
h. Fireworks/explosives

j.
More than one mattress

The type of Bulky Waste that will be collected is restricted and under no
circumstances will garden organic material or putrescible waste be accepted

The customer must provide details of the material being presented at time of booking
the Service.
4.
If the customer fails to notify the Contractor of a cancellation within 24 hours of
agreed collection date, the customer will be deemed to have consumed or utilised the
Concession Service. The customer will not be re-credited or re-issued another
entitlement.
5.
The name and address on the Concession Card must be the same address for the
collection.
6.
A maximum of one free collection per residence every 12 months is available to
Concession Card holders.
7.
A valid Concession Card must be sighted by the Contractor. This can be done by
emailing or posting a copy of the card prior to the collection day or be sighted by the
Contractor at the time of collection.
8.
Failure to produce the eligible card may lead to non-collection of Bulky Waste.
9.
Customer must ensure that all bulky waste is kept within the boundary of the
property. The Contractor is not permitted to enter your house or garage – goods must
be out the front on the morning of collection.
10.
In the case of a Multi Unit Development, approval from the Strata Manager is required
with respect to the location of the goods prior to collection.
11.
Any goods left behind due to non compliance will remain the resident’s responsibility.
