the Southwest Jacksonville Vision Plan on behalf of the City; and

WHEREAS, after extensive guidance from a Steering Committee
5
comprised of local elected officials, CPAC members and community
6
leaders, agency representatives and staff from the Planning and
7
Development Department and significant community involvement, EDAW
8
prepared a Southwest Jacksonville Vision Plan; and
9
WHEREAS,
the
Steering
Committee
and
the
Planning
and
10
Development Department have commented on the Southwest Jacksonville
11
Vision Plan and their comments have been incorporated into the
12
final Plan; and
13
WHEREAS,
representatives
of
the
Urban
Land
Institute
have
14
reviewed the Southwest Jacksonville Vision Plan, toured the area
15
and commented on its findings from their perspective as experienced
16
planning practitioners elsewhere in the State of Florida and their
17
comments have been incorporated into the final Plan; now, therefore
18
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Jacksonville:
