THE EVENT KICKED OFF FRIDAY MORNING AT SEVEN WITH THE ANNUAL GOLF TOURNAMENT, AND ENDED SATURDAY WITH A CAR AND TRUCK SHOW AND LIVE MUSIC. SATURDAY WAS FULL OF ACTIVITIES. BOOTHS FEATURED A WIDE ASSORTMENT OF ITEMS FOR PURCHASE AND LOTS OF FOOD. THE DAY BEGAN WITH THE BOIS D'ARC ‘DASH’ – A 5K RUN, THAT INCLUDED 68 PARTICIPANTS. MANY OF THE EVENTS OVER THE WEEKEND WERE FOR CHARITY, INCLUDING THE KIWANIS CLUB PANCAKE BREAKFAST HELD SATURDAY. Jordan Brooks Daddy Daughter Dance October 7, 2014 THE NORTHEAST TEXAS CHILDREN’S MUSEUM HELD THEIR SECOND ANNUAL DADDY DAUGHTER DANCE LAST SATURDAY. EVENT COORDINATORS GEARED UP FOR A FUN FILLED NIGHT OF DAUGHTERS DANCING WITH THEIR DADDY’S, GRANDDADS, OR EVEN UNCLES. MUSEUM OFFICIALS SAY THE THEME “AN ENCHANTED NIGHT UNDER THE SEA” WAS A HUGE SUCCESS, WITH AN ESTIMATED 350 IN ATTENDANCE. STUDENTS COULD CREATE A CUSTOM PANCAKE, NOT FOR BREAKFAST BUT DINNER. THE PANCAKE BAR INCLUDED TOPPINGS LIKE BANANAS, SPRINKLES, CHERRIES, CHOCOLATE CHIPS, SYRUP AND OF COURSE WHIPPED CREAM.
