Volunteers are an important and valued part of hospice life at Southern Area Hospice.
There are many opportunities available within the organisation and below is a list of the
areas volunteers are involved in and the commitment needed for each role.

Assist in the shops by meeting &
greeting the public, sorting, ironing &
pricing donated items. Cash register
duties & keeping the shops clean &
tidy
Assist in the warehouse by meeting &
greeting the general public, keeping it
clean & tidy and cash register duties.
Meet & greet all visitors to St John’s
House. Answer external & internal
calls. Receive & lodge donations.
