Title: Development new methods of diagnosis and treatment of various diseases of
endocrine, cardiovascular and urogenital systems and their application

Type Details: The aim of the project is developing methods of rapid and highly
efficient diagnosis of various diseases based on determination and monitoring
important biomarkers and drugs in biological objects (urine, plasma and blood
serum, tissue of bladder and brain structures) by chromatography and
electrophoresis.
Our specific fields of expertise are:
- Development a sample preparation procedure of biological liquids (urine, plasma,
blood serum, tears, saliva) for determination of biological active substances by
HPLC-MS, CE-DAD, CE-MS.
- Development and applying specific methods off-line and on-line concentration of
analytes for reducing their LOD.
- Determination of antitumoral drugs (mitomicin C, gemcitabine, doxorubicine,
cisplatinum, oxibutinin, marcaine, paclitaxel and other) in bladder tissue.
- Investigation of residual drug (steroidal and nonsteroidal nature) in urine and
serum of blood.
- Simultaneously determination of catecholamines (adrenaline, noradrenaline,
dopamin) and their metabolites in urine and plasma of blood for diagnosis nervous,
cardiovascular and cancer disease.
- Carrying out the reference research of microalbuminuria diagnosis.
- Clinical research and treatment of urolithiasis accompany with Med. Univ.
- Investigation the new method of intravesical electromotive drug administration for
superficial bladder cancer therapy.
Our laboratory equipped:
-HPLC-UV, ED, FLD and ESI-MS detections;
-HPTLC-UV;
-CE-DAD and ESI-MS detections;
-MALDI-TOF MS.
