Sports Career Fair Candidate, Tomorrow will be a busy day and we wish you the best of luck in your career search. In order to assist you with your search we have included important keys for the best experience possible for tomorrow, as well as the most up-to-date list of employers attending that is available. (Please note that this list is tentative and can change tomorrow.) If you do not currently have your tickets in hand, please plan adequate time to pick up your tickets at will call tomorrow. Most of all have fun and a great attitude and tomorrow should be a tremendous experience for you! 10 KEYS TO CAREER FAIR SUCCESS! 1) Be Prepared! Bring plenty of copies of your resume and references to leave with recruiters. We suggest 50 or more. 2) Dress for Success! Be dressed in business attire, as first impressions are always crucial when looking for a career. 3) Parking will be $10 upon arrival on 2/2. If you plan to leave after the career fair and return for the game make sure you get a receipt. 4) Will Call/Security- Picking up your tickets in will call will take extra time please plan ahead and arrive EARLY if you are picking up tickets. Also plan extra time to be processed through security to enter the career fair as all bags are subject to search. 5) Information Packet- Pick up your information packet upon arrival in the West Atrium. This will consist of your map of recruiters, list of interns, part-time, and full-time positions, as well as a survey to complete and drop off at the Palace Sports and Entertainment Human Resources Table. 6) No Coat Check- There will not be a coat check at the Sports Career Fair so please plan to leave your coat in your car or to carry your coat with you. 7) Time Management- Do not concentrate on only a limited few employers make sure you shift your attention between the wide array of recruiters participating so that you can use all of your options. Many employers will have great opportunities you may not have considered previously. 8) No Food Provided- You will not be provided food at the Palace, and are not permitted to bring in any food or beverages. However, the concessions stands will be open and food and beverage will be available for purchase. 9) Lasting Impressions! Plan to make a brief and important impression on employers for the best opportunity for follow up interviews post the Sports Career Fair. 10) Game Time! Your ticket for the game will also be for the Sports Career Fair. Please make sure that your ticket also has Career Fair noted on it so that you will be able to enter the arena. If you are not planning to stay for the game and would like to leave your ticket to be used. Please leave your ticket at the registration table when leaving that day. There is no change in price for not attending the game.
