What is Your Organisation/Group’s purpose?
The Upper Yarra Artisans are a group of Artists who have the common goal of supporting the local
artisan/artist Community and encouraging their creativity. We will continue to raise the profile of the
dynamic and diverse Arts existing in the valley, while encouraging other artists living further afield to
enter in our local exhibitions.
With a spectacular gallery situated at the heart of Warburton, we are able to promote our varied artists
and art forms. The potential customer is able to communicate directly with the artists who are
volunteering to man the gallery, about their art.

Our members are mostly from the Upper Yarra Valley. We also have members from other states and
countries who are regular visitors and want to be informed of our events so that they may visit and attend
our exhibitions.

The Warburton Art Show will be exhibiting between 6th June - 2nd July 2014.
This year there is a theme - “Locale” (ie: locality,place,scene,setting,site or venue.)
This will be an open 2D (works on paper) juried art show offering prize money for different categories.
The local senior students will be invited to enter and gain experience and confidence to continue their art
practice.
This Art Show is one of the few ways Upper Yarra Artisans can support our local Artists.
Cathryn Hamilton a well known Australian Artist will be sponsoring a Drawing prize to encourage more
drawing in art practice. Her prize will be professional art materials.
Local school musicians will be performing on the opening night.
There will be artist talks at the Upper Yarra Arts Centre Gallery and demonstrations in the Artisans
gallery at the Waterwheel.

How will your project promote Upper Yarra Community Enterprise and the Warburton and Yarra
Junction Community Bank® branches? (e.g. how will logos be used; signage; uniforms; media, etc)
The Upper Yarra Artisans Banner will have the UYCE logo printed on both sides.
Entry forms and award certificates will be printed with UYCE logo.
Local Media advertisments will promote UYCE as the major sponsor
Upper Yarra Artisans website will promote UYCE as a major sponsor and display the logo.
All promotional and advertising material will incorporate the UYCE Logo.
The UYCE will be asked to present awards on the opening night and promote their interest in the
community.
All artists giving presentations and demonstrations will be wearing name tags proudly displaying our
major sponsors.

The Upper Yarra Artisans are promoting the Warburton Art Show in the Yarra Valley and Ranges
Country Life Magazine.
The entry form will be emailed to the previous interstate entries and be available for download on the
Yarra Ranges website.
Our Facebook page will be promoting the show and UYCE as major sponsor and will keep regular
updates, also linking it to the Artisans website.
