Call for Poster Presentations Society of North Carolina Archivists 2014 Annual Conference Connect, Create, and Celebrate: Archives in the 21st Century The 2014 Program Committee invites submissions for poster presentations for the 2014 SNCA annual conference that will take place at North Carolina State University (McKimmon Center) on April 8, 2014. The theme of this conference is Connect, Create, and Celebrate: Archives in the 21st Century. We invite graduate students and professionals to submit posters for presentation at the conference. Proposals that incorporate any of the following are encouraged: How are archivists/students connecting users with collections How are users connecting with archival content What are archivists/students doing to make archival collections more visible Are archivists/students creating anything to help streamline in-house workflows What are users creating that involves archival content How are archival collections being used during celebrations and/or milestone events Posters will be displayed on April 8, 2014 in the afternoon, and presenters must be available to discuss their poster topics with conference attendees. Those wishing to participate should submit a brief abstract (100 words) explaining the poster topic. The deadline for poster proposals is Friday, February 21, 2014. You will be notified towards the end of February/early March whether or not your poster proposal has been accepted.
