CAMERA
ENCLOSURE
The impact-resistant camera consists of a
charged-coupled device (CCD) camera
board, fixed-focal-length lens, enclosure and
polycarbonate dome. The camera interface
is coaxial media. The camera enclosure is
available
for
indoor
and
outdoor
applications. The camera, lens and
enclosure is fully assembled and tested by
the manufacturer.
The video system
supports NTSC, EIA, PAL or CCIR signal
format.
The enclosure and polycarbonate dome can
withstand a high impact force. The
polycarbonate dome is available in half tint
and clear dome versions. The half tint dome
has a maximum light loss no greater than
1.0 f-stop. The dome measures 3.25" in
diameter, 0.125" in thickness, and has high
optical clarity. The dome is UV-stabilized,
suitable for use in areas exposed to sunlight
and is hard coated for scratch resistance.
The enclosure meets IP66X and is designed
for indoor and outdoor all-weather use. The
enclosure is fabricated from rolled steel and
finished with urethane powder paint. It
includes captive security screws. An optional
adapter plate is available for additional
support when mounting to ceiling tiles. The
camera has a steel cover-plate that is 5.8”
(148mm) in diameter. The dimensions of
the camera do not exceed: 5.8” x 5.8” x 3.6”
or 148mm x 148mm x 91mm. The total
weight of the camera and lens is 1.2lbs
(0.55kg).
THE CAMERA
The camera is a 1/3" solid-state
monochrome/color video camera using an
interline transfer, CCD image sensor
meeting NTSC (EIA) or PAL (CCIR) signal
format. The horizontal resolution is a
minimum of 410 TV lines for standard
monochrome, 570 for high monochrome,
350 for standard color and 480 for high
color. The electronic iris lens has a speed of
1/60-1/100,000 sec. The camera offers a
composite video output providing 1.0V peakto-peak into 75 ohms. The camera position
has a unique 3D-position adjustment
allowing for maximum lens rotation for any
angle of view required.
LENS
The camera is fully assembled by the
manufacturer with one of the following
interchangeable fixed focal length lenses
from 2.9-12mm:
ELECTRICAL
The input voltage range is 17-32VAC and
11-16VDC with a single power supply board;
one set of power connections with auto
sensing for 24VAC or 12VDC is provided. A
built-in surge suppression meets a 1.5kW
transient specification. The input power
consumption is equal to or less than 4 W
(Color) and 2.5W (B&W). V-Phase and Iris
level controls are potentiometers accessible
from the front of the camera. All cameras
with a phase adjustment via potentiometer
are capable of AC line lock. The line lock
adjustable range of the vertical phase is +/150°. The camera will switch automatically
to internal sync mode when 12VDC is
applied.
