Simple Searching Guidelines Consider the following when using Standard Search and Advanced Search: Capitalization Search is not case-sensitive. You type Search looks for capital capital or Capital Capital capital or Capital Multiple-Word Searches You can search for multiple words. The search looks for publications having all your words in no particular order. You type death penalty Search looks for death AND penalty Tips Entering multiple words or phrases as an exact phrase might provide better search results. In Advanced Search, you can specify how the search handles multiple words by choosing All the words, Any of the words, or The exact phrase from the drop down menus. Exact Phrases Enclose exact phrases in quotes.
