== Global Warning Greenhouse Effect == Purpose: To study how the thickness in plastic wrap affect the air temperature. Hypothesis: Believe that the thickness in plastic wrap would cause more heat into the model greenhouse. Background Research: The earth's "greenhouse effect" is what makes this planet suitable for life as we know it. The earth's atmosphere contains gases, which absorb heat. These gases (water vapor, carbon dioxide, methane, ozone, and nitrous oxide) are known as "greenhouse gases." . Greenhouses are structures designed to keep heat. The heat-trapping ability of the greenhouse is a number of factors including the transparency of the greenhouse cover, color of the surfaces inside the greenhouse, and type of surfaces inside. Materials: Plastic wrap Popsicle sticks Pet friendly grass Soil 4 flower pots/containers to hold grass Procedure: Step 1: Place pet friendly grass seeds into 4 flower pots, covering with soil and water. (take grass a week to grow) Step 2: Greenhouse will be made from flower pots, popsicle sticks and plastic wrap. Step 3: Each greenhouse will have a layer of plastic wrap covering each side. Step 4: All 4 greenhouses will be placed under the same light. temperatures will be checked every minute. Step 5: Greenhouse 1 will have one layer of plastic wrap, greenhouse 2 will have two layers, greenhouse 3 will have three layers and greenhouse 4 will have no plastic wrap.(Being the control) ====Data == Graph show that platic wrap with three layers get heated faster. the graph also shows the time and temperature it got during each minute. The x-axis is the Results: minutes and y-axis is the temperature itself. Conclusion: Our hypothesis is supported by the data. The greenhouse is a big part of global warning and many its gases.
