About this form
You need to complete this form if you are a course owner and you wish to apply to the Australian
Skills Quality Authority (ASQA), as the national VET regulator, to accredit a course. This form can be
used to apply for the initial accreditation of a course OR to renew the accreditation of a course.
You will need to be aware that ASQA accredits and regulates accredited courses under the National
Vocational Education and Training Regulator Act 2011 (Cwlth), and it is also a delegate for the
Training and Employment Recognition Council (Queensland) with respect to the accreditation of
courses under the Vocational Education, Training and Employment Act 2000 (Qld).
There are five sections to this application form:

If you are applying to ASQA—as delegate for the Training and Employment Recognition Council,
Queensland—to have your course accredited (refer to Section 1.1), the required fee that you must
pay is prescribed within the Vocational Education, Training and Employment Act 2000 (Qld).
Submitting the application
This form, and required attachments, must be submitted by email to courses@asqa.gov.au.
Your application must be accompanied by the required attachments. Incomplete applications or
applications completed incorrectly will be returned to you for completion. A Checklist for submitting an
application for accreditation (initial or renewal) has been provided at the back of this form to help you
ensure your application is complete.

the intended outcomes of the course fall within their area of industry coverage to verify that the
course does not duplicate, by title or coverage, the outcomes of an endorsed training package
qualification.
